How Does It Work?
Conventional heating systems such as radiators convect heat upwards towards the ceiling so the temperature at floor level is left cooler. Radiators need to run at fairly high temperatures to heat a room sufficiently. In a warm water system, warm water is circulated through high quality pipes that are laid in a continuous loop into the floor when it is constructed. Heat is transferred from the water passing through the pipe directly into the floor and because the whole floor area is heated the room temperature is more even, does not need to run at high temperatures like radiators and is therefore more cost effective. It is suitable for all floor coverings and finishes.
